Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 in 1983. Maggie Grace is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington from Ohio left high school, and relocating into Los Angeles after her divorced parents. Her first role came to her in the film, Rachel's Room's main character in 2001, despite having a difficult time financially. Her portrayal as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the TV film Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the lead actor in Lost during its initial two seasons. In 2004, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award with the entire ensemble. Grace, who had worked together with Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, was looking to go into film. The actress has also appeared in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club both in 2007 as well as in Taken alongside Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is a modern interpretation of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the Lost series in the final two episodes playing Shannon. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in Californianation, the sixth Season. The character she plays is Faith as a fan and muse of the stars. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family and is the elder sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began as a young teenager when she appeared in small roles in several films from her father. Also, she worked alongside her brother in the 2001 cult film Donnie Darko. She appeared next in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performance as a lead character of Secretary (2002) which is an erotic romance drama drama as well as Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she received a nomination from the Golden Globe Award. The actress gained more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films that she was a part of during 2006. She was nominated to win an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her performance on the film Crazy Heart, (2009). Then, she went on to appear in comedy films and dramas like Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) as well as Won't Back Down (12). Her other parts include acting as a Secret Service agent of The Secret Service in White House Down 2013. She also appeared as a vocalist in Frank 2014, and in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, in which she plays the title character. In 2021, Gyllenhaal was able to make her writing and directing debut with the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
